The GREAT Scholarship Malaysia will be awarded to Malaysian students who wish to pursue a master’s degree in the United Kingdom as part of a joint initiative between the British Council and the University of Stirling. The scholarship is available for the 2023–2024 academic year. The scholarship is only for Malaysian master’s degree students enrolled in the University of Stirling’s LLM International Energy and Environmental Law program. To be considered for the $10,000 scholarship, interested students must be full-time students based on the Stirling campus.

This scholarship scheme is part of the GREAT Scholarships campaign, which has been launched by the British Council together with UK universities to support more students in Malaysia to get access to excellent UK higher education opportunities.
The total value of the scholarship scheme is nearly £1 million. This scholarship scheme will offer an exciting opportunity for Malaysian students wishing to get financial support to pursue study at degree levels in the UK. Students can apply for courses in subjects including engineering, law, business, art and design, biosciences, IT, and more, at institutions across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

The University of Stirling has six GREAT Scholarships, each worth £10,000 available for the 2023-24 academic year.
Two scholarships are for any taught master’s program for students from the following countries:

Three scholarships are for master’s programs related to justice and law, in the following countries:
Indonesia (one scholarship)

One scholarship is for a master’s program related to climate change for a student from:
